On December 19, 2011, HB 5002 (Workers Compensation) was signed into law changing how it will be implemented for all state employees moving forward. Police and Fire were exempt from the change and MCO lobbied hard to have Corrections included in this law enforcement carve-out. Ultimately, however, we are subject to the new law. MCO continues to look at all possible options as we move forward.
