IBC Warden Ken McKee will be Deputy Director, MDOC announced today
Bellamy Creek Warden Ken McKee has been named the new MDOC deputy director for Correctional Facilities Administration, effective July 6.
McKee is the co-chair of the MCO/MDOC joint health and safety committee and is very active in the Ionia community. Before serving as warden at Bellamy Creek, he was the warden at Michigan Reformatory.
McKee will also supervise the Bureau of Health Care Services. MDOC announced the bureau will move to CFA oversight.
MCO has always had a good working relationship with McKee, and union leaders look forward to working with him in the future.
McKee was selected by new MDOC Director Heidi Washington. Washington officially takes over her new role July 1. Today was Director Dan Heyns, Deputy Director Tom Finco and Chief Deputy Director Randy Treacher’s last day.
