MCO creates new gift for retirees
To honor retirees, MCO will be sending out retirement shadow boxes that feature service lapel pins corresponding with the member’s time spent with the Department and MCO. Military service pins will also be featured if the retiree is a member of the MCO Military Members Committee.
Unlike the retirement plaque that MCO has been sending out to members upon request, these shadow boxes will be sent automatically to retirees once the state notifies MCO of the retirement. We will be sending them out at the end of each month based on the state reports that we receive. Please let us know if we miss your retirement so we can get you your gift to thank you for your loyalty to MCO throughout your career!
To be eligible for a retirement shadow box, you must be a dues-paying member in good standing, in accordance with the MCO bylaws, at the time of your retirement. There is no need to cancel your membership before your retirement date; your dues deduction will automatically stop.
