Dec. 8 Update on hybrid pension bills

The Speaker of the House of Representatives has formally appealed the Court of Appeals ruling on the hybrid pension bills to the Michigan Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will now review the case, and can either agree with the Court of Appeals and confirm that ruling or they can hear the case themselves and rule on it. The Michigan Senate will file a request with the Supreme Court to expedite the review and decision. As soon as a decision is made by the Supreme Court, an update will be shared immediately.
