The Fallen Officers Memorial will be unveiled at the dedication ceremony May 7.

Members, if you are planning to attend the memorial dedication, please wear your MDOC uniform. MDOC administration has given MCO members special permission to wear their uniform at this momentous event. Let’s make a sea of gray to show our dedication and pride to serving Michigan communities. We’d like to get the largest photo of uniformed corrections officers in MCO history!

We’re also hosting an open house and reception following the dedication ceremony. We’ll have several exhibits set up so members and guests can learn more about corrections and MCO’s new work to engage members like never before.

All members who attend will receive a special commemorative coin.

The deadline to RSVP for the Fallen Officers Memorial Dedication is this Monday, May 1. If you haven’t done so yet, please RSVP now. Or, get more info on the memorial dedication and open house at mco-seiu.org/memorial.

See you May 7 – and don’t forget to wear your uniform!
