At some point during your tenure as a steward, you will come across a discrimination allegation involving one or more of our members. When a discrimination complaint is made, a steward should direct the member to a facility harassment coordinator to file the proper paperwork. The employer will investigate the complaint; however, a member does have the right to file a grievance on their behalf.
